This course is a 3 day first aid at work course for those businesses that need to meet their requirements under the First Aid at Work regulations. This is an in-depth, comprehensive course for businesses who have  identified that they require a higher level of first aid skills due to the type of business, the equipment used or the number staff and have  additional requirements because of the work they do such as forestry workers, carpentry workers, arborists, tree fellers. It will provide the participants with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid accidents and emergencies at work as well as illnesses that individuals may develop whilst at work.

 

All our courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2013 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.

Also included in this course to comply with the latest HSE and ERC guidelines, are Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings.

This version of the FAW-F course includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme Disease. Also included to comply with the latest HSE and ERC guidelines, are Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings.

This course must be at least 20 contact hours and is run over 3 days and the certificate is valid for 3 years.
