This course is for those businesses that need to have one or more staff that hold a workplace first aid qualification so the employer can meet their requirements under the Fist Aid at Work regulations and have additional requirements because of the work they do such as forestry workers, carpentry workers, arborists, tree fellers.
It will enable the participants to provide First Aid to a casualty who is injured or ill.
All our courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the guidelines set out by the HSE and meets all the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes. All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2025, as per the HSE requirements.
This version of the FAW course also includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme Disease.
In May 2016 the HSE and Awarding Organisations announced that computer based blended training is now allowed for all workplace first aid courses. You can now become a fully qualified First Aider in the workplace completing part online part classroom.
This course must be at least 18 hours, you complete 6 online and do 2 days in the classroom at your worksite.
This blended FAW course meets all of the requirements under the HSE and Awarding Organisations.

How much does the blended first aid at work for forestry workers course cost?
This course is £1285 for the 2 classroom sessions for up to 12 participants. Plus £30 per person for the online section of the course
if you only need a few people trained we can offer our small group course which is £300 per person with a minimum booking of 4 participants. This price includes both the online sections and the classroom section of the course.
If you need less that 4 participants trained, please get in touch to discuss the dates of our regular scheduled courses when individual members of your team can attend this training.
This course is £305 per person for the first 4 participants and £55 per person for any additional participants up to a total of 12 participants. This price covers the online course and the classroom part of the course.
