Is the 1 day emergency first aid at work for forestry workers course for me?

This course is for those businesses that need to have one or more staff that hold a workplace first aid qualification so the employer can meet their requirements under the Fist Aid at Work regulations and have additional requirements because of the work they do such as forestry workers, carpentry workers, arborists, tree fellers. It will enable the participants to provide emergency First Aid to a casualty. It will enable the participants to provide emergency First Aid to a casualty.

All our courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the guidelines set out by the HSE  and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes. All our first aid courses fully meet the current UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines  as per the HSE requirements.

This version of the EFAW course also includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme Disease.

This course requires a minimum of 7 hours and you now have the option to complete your Emergency First Aid at Work course as a blended course, with 3 hours of online training followed by 4 hours in the classroom.

This blended EFAW course meets all of the requirements under the HSE and Awarding Organisations.

To renew the next time you need to attend another EFAW-F 7hour course. This  next course course must be delivered as a 100% classroom course and cannot be delivered via online or blended training to comply with the HSE requirements.

How much does the emergency first aid at work for forestry workers course cost?

This course has 2 parts.

Part 1

You pay directly to Pro Trainings who provide the online section of the course. The cost for this part of the course is £24.95 plus VAT per person. We will set up an online classroom for you and you can register all of your participants.


Part 2

This is the classroom part of your course. The cost for this part of the course is £425.00 . You pay this part to us Thames Training.

Need just a small number of people trained? Why not book our small group course. The cost is £145.00 per person, with just a minimum of 4 participant.

This price covers both the online part of the course and the classroom course. The small group course is only available in Oxfordshire.

If you need fewer than 4 participants trained we whave regular scheduled courses that your team members can join.

Can I do this course in the classroom or onsite?

This course is a blended course where you will complete 3 hours online and the other 3 hours in the classroom at your workplace.
