This course is for healthcare professionals that need to update their annual training in Basic Life Support and the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED). Our AED & basic life support for Healthcare Professionals course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to deal with a major first aid emergency and to use your AED machine.
This course is suitable for all staff that could benefit from the knowledge and skills on how to use an AED and could benefit from updating their basic life support skills. It is suitable regardless of their previous level of first aid training.
As well as the formal certificate for the course you also receive a certified CPD time credit certificate to add to your CPD portfolio.
All our courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2013 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes. All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2025 as per the HSE requirements. This is a 3 hour course.

Can I do the AED & BLS for Healthcare Professionals Course online or onsite?
This course is a onsite course where your course will be delivered at your workplace this course is also available as a scheduled classroom course and a blended course where an online course is completed followed by a shorter in person skill assessment.
How much does the AED & BLS for Healthcare Professionals Course cost?
this course is £475 for up to 12 participants
if you only need a few people trained we can offer our small group course which is £85 per person with a minimum booking of 4 participants.
If you need less that 4 participants trained, please get in touch to discuss the dates of our regular scheduled courses when individual members of your team can attend this training.
